Katherine’s goal for each student is to help them discover and develop their unique abilities and nurture a life-long relationship with music.
This is an inclusive space for musicians of all ages, backgrounds, and gender expressions.
Katherine teaches with a classical approach towards technique and sight-reading. This goes side-by-side with ear-training, music theory, and improvisation. With the balance of both the technical and the innovative, her students become confident performers, mindful artists, and creative thinkers. Katherine is a member of the Charlottesville Music Teacher’s Association and MTNA.

Throughout the pandemic, our soireés and recitals have been held virtually. It’s been wonderful having so many friends and family members attend virtually from all over the world!
In December, 2021 we had our first in-person adult soireè and K-12 winter recital and livestreamed on Facebook. Congratulations to all the performers!
